The Journal of African Cultural Studies is an international academic journal which provides a forum for perceptions of Africa both form inside and outside Africa. It focusses on dimensions of African culture including African literatures, both written and oral, performance arts, visual arts, music, the role of the media, the relationship between culture and power, culture and gender issues and sociolinguistic topics of cultural interest. It evolved from the journal African Languages and Culture. It is published biannually.
